ccTalk tutorial , connecting the cable to slave devices. Part 1 – coin acceptors

So let’s see some ccTalk devices you can practice on, just a quick look , a detailed description of each will follow.

Most 5′ acceptors are using Type 5 BACTA 10 pin connector and 3′ acceptors are using Type 1 standard 4 pin connector but  you shoud read the device manual.

Type 5 BACTA 10 pin connector: SR5 connector

The pin-out

  1. ccTalk DATA
  2. Not used
  3. Not used
  4. Not Used
  5. /RESET – Hardware reset , can be left floating if not used
  6. Not used
  7. VCC 12 to 24V
  8. GROUND
  9. /SERIAL MODE should be  low for ccTalk
  10. Reserved , should be left floating
